Business Systems & Data Coordinator

Catch Des Moines has an immediate opening for a business systems and data coordinator to coordinate the technology systems, functions and activities of the organization and serve as the liaison between the business and third-party providers.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to coordinating digital and technological aspects for workstations, data management, SharePoint and telecom systems including needs, installation, acquisitions, troubleshooting, administration, staff training and maintenance in coordination with IT managed services provider and other system providers.

The business systems and data coordinator will coordinate vendor and service-provider relationships and service-level agreements. This includes, but is not limited to managed IT Services Provider, phone systems, Simpleview CRM (customer relationship management), Dashboards, and CMS.

The business systems and data coordinator will help ensure compliance with GDPR, CASL, PCI and other laws and regulations governing data, payment data, and information security.

Related to the CRM system, the business systems and data coordinator will be responsible for the management and maintenance of all CRM modules in coordination with the partner fulfillment manager. They will coordinate the company-wide CRM information and reporting system, assist with final review and edits of CRM reports, and facilitate and maximize the use of Dashboards across the organization, including compiling monthly report data.

A bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

An ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail and ability to successfully manage projects.

Sports Event Intern – Lead

Catch Des Moines and Des Moines Area Sports & Tourism Commission has an opening for the position of Sports Event Intern Lead.

This position will work within the event experience department with a focus on the production of AAU Junior Olympic Games, IRONMAN Des Moines, Golden Age Games and other various sporting events hosted in Des Moines during the Summer of 2023.

Qualified individuals will possess self-starting skills with an eagerness to learn and take on responsibilities while furthering their education and abilities. This internship will be hands on with opportunities to learn the in’s and out’s of sports event production from start to finish. This is not an internship that will have you filing paperwork or doing research on sporting events —this is hands on, and you will be part of the team producing large-scale sporting events in the community. This internship will consist of some long, hot Iowa summer days but will also consist of real life sporting events experience and connections throughout the community.

Duties:

• Represent Catch Des Moines at sporting events including but not limited to Golden Age Games, Iowa High School State Track Meet, Iowa High School State Soccer Tournament, IRONMAN Des Moines and AAU Junior Olympic Games
• Be available some nights and weekends to staff sporting events
• Research sports and meeting industry news and upcoming events
• Assist with logistics, volunteer recruitment and customer service for the above events
• Assist the event experience team with implementation of events and projects including updating documents, brainstorming new experiences for visitors, and organizing processes
• Assist with preparation for tradeshows and other internal events
• Assist with projects and duties as assigned by the event experience and sales teams
• Required event dates: July 24 - August 5, 2023

Position Requirements:

• Approximately 15 hours per week January 2023 - July 2023
• Approximately 40 hours per week July 2023 - August 2023
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office
• Must be present at events taking place in Des Moines; schedule of events will be communicated prior to start date (additional events may be scheduled during internship)
• Consistent and reliable presence at work is an important part of the job
• Downtown parking provided
• Target start date: January 9, 2023
